C’MUN has come and gone and UNANIMUN is really glad to announce that one of our biggest delegations yet partook in almost all committees in this 9th edition. Likewise, three UNANIMUN “veterans” chaired different committees as well (Diego Badell at the Alliance of Civilizations, and Karla J. Peña and Míriam Juan-Torres at the Human Rights Council).
As usual, the Open Ceremony took place in the City Hall in which our Honourable co-chair in the Human Right Council, Karla Juliana, also former Secretary General of UNANIMUN, gave a speech about MUN being one of the most powerful leadership experiences that can be experienced as a student.
The following days were hard-working and exhausting, but also a lot of fun. Most of the delegates worked hard to write, negotiate and pass the working papers.
Most of the efforts continued during the afternoon sessions. Afterwards, some decided to have a drink together and others went to have dinner together with their own committees. The night…finished a little bit late…
The last day started with a lot of energy and ended up with a happy note, during the closing ceremony, Leila Sant, the US delegate at UNODC received an award in recognition of her outstanding performance. Congratulations!
